Update: Going Home

We are all going home today. Mom is strong enough that she can be transported home via ambulance. Hospice and other family members are preparing the house and her room for Mom's arrival. I know this is what she wants.

Dearest Lori,
I know that this is a difficult time for you and your wonderfully warm, close family....But please think of all the good times you've all shared and how much your special mother has CARED for all of you....YOU all have been blessed to have each other all these years....Gloria has been able to eek out an extra year of life with lots of smiles and fun thrown in while she fought through all the medical procedures...YOu know that if there was any way that your mom could stay she would...she fights on still and I know she is tired...
WE have talked of angels and the after life....Your mom will be there waiting and watching over all of you...She will have no pain and be back to her healthy spirit filled self...
This is a time of tears and anxiety but you will ALWAYS have your mother by your side...YOU can always talk to her and,,,,,if you listen..she will answer you...and smile because she is so proud of both you girls and her devoted husband...Comfort each other and take deep breaths...
When you're ready....Remind her that it is o.k. to let go and you will see her on the other side...
MY prayers and thoughts are with you all...Doris J
