Happy Memorial Day!
Hi!
It's been awhile since I have written. It is the unofficial start of summer!
This weekend has been nice. We saw Anne,David,Mom and Dad at Gravel Lake. It was a cold and rainy Friday night, Saturday, and part of Sunday. Good sleeping weather and we did manage a float boat ride and some reading time outside.
Sunday afternoon we drove home, unpacked and visited Steve's parents. Their friends were having a party and one of them is a jazz musician. I joined their band and played bongos. (I was a little too shy to attempt the drumset). They did invite me back to play around the 4th of July. Fun!
My favorite song of the night:
Fly Me to the Moon
(Bart Howard)
Fly me to the moon
And let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars
In other words hold my hand
In other words darling kiss me
Fill my life with song
And let me sing forevermore
You are all I hope for
All I worship and adore
In other words please be true
In other words I love you
(repeat 2nd verse, then repeat 1st verse)
Monday morning I teamed up with Sponseller's and marched in a parade. It was hot, since I was in full uniform, which is black and long sleeved. Next year I will wear a t-shirt.
Steve and I watched Pirates of the Caribbean II. Yar! We're going to see the third one on Wednesday night.
Thanks for reading!
Love, Lolo
