Poem: 42nd Spin Around the Sun

Hello!
I will be posting the rest of our sojourn to Europe soon. In the meantime, I wrote a birthday poem dedicated to all of you who celebrated with me in one way or another:

42^nd Spin Around the Sun

Today marks the ending

of the 41st  spin around the sun,

and I look out at our garden

and I reflect,

what more needed to be done.

Pull out the needy, thorny weeds

and toss them far far away,

and I look out at our garden

and I notice,

only sunshine flowers today.

Today marks the beginning

of the 42^nd spin around the sun,

and I look out at our garden

and I imagine,

what more needs to be done.
