Falling Into Place

The birds were singing louder this morning. The temperature reached over 40 degrees and the sky was painted a pale shade of blue. I donned a light jacket instead of my usual heavy winter coat at lunchtime. Tonight was the first time I was able to really sing and play the guitar...together. Despite the profound sadness that surrounds me and all of us day-by-day with this pandemic, I am starting to feel cautiously optimistic about the future. I have been taking life one day at a time since September 19 and it's nice to be able to look beyond today.
